The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of one button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves on.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong like the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's some clutter that must be removed frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could want. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is top rated robot vacuum sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're away from home. It also has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you don't often see on robots at this price. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are nice to have, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners need.
Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
